Industrial Design Drivers: Narrowness + sophistication + universal appeal.
The design team sought out a design in which its form factor elicited narrowness - the main feature of the Stretto. The narrowness design goal was accomplished by sculptural lines within the power base that narrow as they lower towards the bottom of the product.
The team also strived for a more sophisticated and universal design as opposed to other competitors' products on the market.
A more sophisticated and universal design allows this power wheelchair to adapt to a wider range of markets including Europe, Australia as well as North America.
